How to make delicious Onion Poha/ Flattened Rice at home?

ONION POHA OR KANDA POHA RECIPE Every Mumbaikar's favourite simple and easy breakfast recipe  Onion Poha is a popular Indian snack item prepared in many states in India. Originated from Maharashtra it is popularly known as Kanda poha in many places in Mumbai, Maharashtra. This healthy Indian dish is usually prepared for morning breakfast or evening tea time snacks as it is an extremely simple dish and takes hardly a few minutes to prepare.   In different Indian states, it has different names like aval, avalakki, atukulu. So Poha is basically flattened rice  or  beaten rice. It is flat light dry flakes and considered to be originated in the Malwa region itself. When you soak these flat dry rice flakes in water for few seconds they absorb water and when you drain them they transform into this soft puffy thicker rice.
